Apple announced a new version of its operating system for iPhones, iPads, and iPad Touches. iOS 10 will be released for a free upgrade to all compatible devices this coming fall.
Some improvements to IOS 10 include Siri, 3D touch, and a redesigned control center that allows for interactive notifications for the user. Siri will be able to book rides from Uber, make payments or send cash. Apple Maps was redesigned to pan and zoom further ahead to see any traffic conditions or local gas stations. Apple Maps will tell you how much longer it will take to get to the final destination with a gas or food stop. Another addition to Apple Maps are the Map Extensions which allow the user to make reservations through Opentable.
Messages which is the most used app in iOS was revamped to include an invisible ink feature that will reveal a hidden text with a slide of the finger and an app drawer that opens up Messages to developers to let them build apps.
Apple ensured its customers that the new operating system will remain safe and secure.
